Talks of Emmanuel Adebayor teaming up with Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo at Watford is reportedly back on track as it is understood that the Hornets have resumed negotiations with the lanky striker.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since he was released by Tottenham Hotspur towards the end of the summer transfer window but a move to Vicarage Road is now a huge possibility.
With 12 months still left to run on his contract at White Hart Lane, it is believed that Spurs are still paying the Togolese frontman £100,000 a week.
According to the London Evening Standard, the North Londoners are eager to get Adebayor off their wage bill, with Watford being his most likely destination.
The report adds that while the Hornets are not prepared to pay all of the former Arsenal man’s wages, they could split the sum with Spurs in half.
