The Black Stars winger has been recognised for his outstanding efforts in the American league over the past season.
The Chicago Fire player was named the club’s Most Valuable Player of the Season for 2015.
He played a total of 23 matches, ahead of Matt Polster, Joevin Jones, Harrison Shipp and Kennedy Igboananike in the Chicago MLS side’s first team.
The main reason for his accolade is that he was Fire’s highest scorer with 10 goals.
He joined the club in December, moving to the United States of America, from Swedish top flight club Helsingborgs. Even there he was successful with 17 goals in 25 appearances, so it’s no surprise he amongst the goals for Chicago. In Ghana he came through the Right to Dream Academy.
Accam received another nomination in the MLS, this time for the his goal against New York Red Bulls which is shortlisted for the 2015 MLS Goal of the Year competition. He scored it on September 11 against the New York team.
The winner of the best goal will be announced on December 3.
