23 year old Kenyan international defender Aboud Omar has joined Bulgarian top tier side PFC Slavia Sofia where he has signed a two year deal.
Omar left Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants Tusker FC in June 2015 for Greek side Panegialios where he signed a six month contract and went on to play 14 matches until late January.
His final match for the Greece side was the Greek Cup clash against Zakynthos on Sunday 24th January which his team won 1 – 0.
The defender, who has 17 national team caps, is one of the six new signings as posted on the club’s official website, the others being Serder Serderov, Nikita Sergeev, Mokanza Danny, Borislav Baldzhiyski and George Iliev.
His new team is currently third on the Bulgarian top flight standings with 30 points from 18 matches and if he is fit enough, he might get his debut in the Saturday 20 February game against Cherno More.
