Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has showered praise on teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swede opened his Old Trafford career with a nicely taken scissors-kick goal.
Ibrahimovic opened the scoring for United as they beat Galatasaray 5-2 in a pre-season friendly in Gotheburg on Saturday evening.
And reacting to his new teammate’s impact, Rashford said it was ‘amazing’ seeing the former PSG striker’s goal.
“It’s amazing. There’s a possibility that we can all learn from him while he’s here so we all need to take the chance,” Rashford was quoted by The Mirror.
“It’s a massive help. Just being with him day in day out. It’s helping me just seeing what he’s like overall. Not just on the pitch, off the pitch as well.
“So, there’s a lot to learn from him, so hopefully I can bring some of what he does into my own game.”
Ibrahimovic’s goal came off a cross from Antonio Valencia, which arrived slightly behind the former AC Milan striker, who, acrobatically flung himself in the air to connect with the ball and guide it into the far corner.
Rashford would replace Ibrahimovic in the second half, as United came from behind to secure the big win.
