William Troost-Ekong has arrive the Atalanta camp of Nigeria’s Olympic team in the United States, ahead of the Rio Olympic Games, fcnaija.com can confirm.
The 22-year old defender is one of the 18 players listed for the Olympic Games by Nigeria coach Samson Siasia.
Troost-Ekong arrived the team’s hotel camp on Sunday evening to a warm reception by team officials as they get set for the Games which begin in 10 days’ time.
His arrival will be a huge boost to Siasia, who has been dealt several blows as several of the players he had hoped to build his team with were not permitted by their clubs to play at the Olympics.
Meanwhile, while his arrival will be good news for the coach and the rest of the team, they are however yet to be joined John Obi Mikel as at 6am Nigerian time on Monday, who was reported to have left London for the United States on Saturday.
So also are Aminu Umar and Sadiq Umar, who are yet to join the team in their Atlanta base.
