Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Thika United side received a huge boost ahead of their against Mathare United on Saturday 23 July with the clearance of Nigerian import Ichi Onwodi Chibueze to start playing for the club.
After securing clearance from Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Chibueze needed the clearance from the immigration department from the government, which came in due time on Friday.
The striker, signed from National Super League (NSL) side Shabana FC in the midseason transfer window will be a great addition to the team, with the Kiambu County side having scored just two goals in the last four matches.
Chibueze has already been named in the Thika United team to play Mathare United later on Saturday. Together with him, the team welcomes back Samuel Mwanje and Suleiman Ngotho who were suspended for the club’s last outing.
Skipper Dennis Odhiambo is also available after shaking off an injury he suffered during the club’s 0 – 4 loss to AFC Leopards a fortnight ago.
