Newly signed Chemelil Sugar FC striker Mustapha Adebayor is set for his debut in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) following his graduation from the Millers’ junior team in the June transfer window.
The striker missed the opening two matches of the second leg, against AFC Leopards and Sofapaka, both which ended in wins for the Millers as he awaited his work permit clearances.
His clearance came on Monday 11 July and Adebayor, who featured for Chemelil Sugar U20 in the KPL U20 tournament in April is ready to play a part in the Round 18 match against Tusker to be played at the Kenyatta Stadium on Sunday 17 July.
“My paperwork is finally complete and I am looking forward to getting to the pitch and doing my part to help the team. I am in good shape and ready for my debut in the KPL; I hope I can get the nod this weekend,” he said.
