Dream Team VI captain Okechukwu Azubuike has admitted they are worried about their form leading up to the Olympic Games.
The team had a disappointing outing at the South Korea invitational tournament earlier in the month, and were beaten 4-3 on Saturday by the Flying Eagles in a warm-up game and speaking afterwards, Azubuike said their form hasn’t been encouraging.
“We haven’t been doing well and it is very worrying,” he admitted.
“We have been talking about it and we know within ourselves that we haven’t been playing well and I am very concerned,” he said.
The 19-year old however added that they will continue working hard to make sure they get better before the Games.
“We have been working on our mistakes and we will keep working and I believe we will get better and things will be right,” he added.
The team will leave for the United States this week, where they will hold a final training camp before travelling to Brazil for the Olympic Games proper.
