Odion Ighalo has predicted a tough encounter when Watford face Liverpool later today.
The Hornets are at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to face a seemingly rejuvenated Liverpool side, who are still basking in the euphoria of having qualified to the Europa League final and Ighalo, who scored a brace when both sides met earlier in the season, acknowledges they will be up against a different Liverpool side.
“It’s going to be a tough game,” Ighalo said, speaking to Hornets PlayerHD.
“When we played them last time they had a new coach, they weren’t doing well, but now they are a better team.
“The whole team fought from the first minute for each other, we chased down every ball, we didn’t give them time to play,” he said.
That notwithstanding, Ighalo insists they will have to fight to get a result out of the game, adding that they may have to do more than they did in the first leg.
“We have to fight the same way, probably even more than we did in the last game. It’s possible for us to win there, but we have to be determined and work hard to get the result.”
The Nigeria international has scored 16 goals this season, and 14 of those have come in the Premier League.
He has however had a lean spell of late, as he has failed to score in their last 11 Premier League games.
