The Kenya women national team Harambee Starlets will start training on Monday 5 September ahead of the 2016 CECAFA Women Championships that will be held in Uganda as from Sunday 11 September.
The team is camping at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani, with 28 players as confirmed by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) before being trimmed to 23 players before departing for Kampala.
The team is scheduled to leave for the tournament on Friday 9 September.
The team is grouped in Pool A of the tournament alongside Uganda, Zanzibar and Burundi and has its first match scheduled for Sunday 11 September against hosts Uganda.
The other pool in the tournament has Ethiopia, the best ranked nation in the region, along with Tanzania and Rwanda.
Only seven teams confirmed participation in the tournament returning after 30 years.
