Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero says he wants to score his 100th Premier League goal for the club as he reached 99 with his hat-trick against Chelsea.
The Argentine inspired City’s first win at Stamford Bridge since he joined the club with a performance that also put him just one goal behind Harry Kane in the race for this season’s golden boot.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side play relegation threatened Newcastle United in midweek and the former Atletico Madrid forward may just reach his goalscoring milestone in that game.
“We still have a few games ahead of us and I am sure I can make 100 goals,” Aguero told reporters at Stamford Bridge. “I will try to do it on Tuesday when we have an important game
“I’m happy with the three goals, but most importantly with the victory. Those three points were very important.
“Since I came to City we have never won at Chelsea, so I am very happy. It’s a difficult stadium to get the win, so to get three points is good.”
Manchester City are currently third in the Premier League but may return to fourth on Sunday if Arsenal beat Crystal Palace at the Emirates.
