As the curtain draws on the 2015/16 Serie A season, we take a look at how the teams fared over the weekend in round 32 of the season.
We start of in Naples, where title-chasing Napoli expectedly defeated Verona 3-0 to keep pushing Juventus, while the Old Lady got a 2-1 win at the San Siro against AC Milan.
Empoli were 2-0 winners over Fiorentina, while Samdoria defeated Udinese 2-0. Torino were 2-1 winners over Atalanta, while Lazio defeated Palermo 3-0 awa from home.
Chievo beat Carpi 1-0, and Sassuolo surprisingly lost 1-0 at home to Genoa and Frosinone lost by the same margin at home to Inter Milan.
As it stands and with results from the weekend, Verona look all but set for a return to Serie B, after another loss. Carpi also did their chances of staying up no good, but they still stayed out of the danger zone, thanks to Palermo’s loss to Lazio.
Verona are rock-bottom, while Frosinone and Palermo complete the relegation slots. Carpi, Udinese, Atalanta, Sampdoria and Bologna are outside the relegation places at the moment, but could all still be relegated.
At the top of the table, Juventus maintained their six point lead with their win, while Napoli made sure they kept the pressure with a win of theirs, as both teams occupy the first and second positions, while AS Roma complete the Champions League places as they sit third.
Inter Milan, Fiorentina, AC Milan and Sassuolo are fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively, while Lazio, Chievo and Genoa complete the top 10.
