Chad have withdrawn from the qualifying race to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and the results secured against them in the series will be cancelled, fcnaija can confirm.
The Chadians were beaten 1-0 at home by Tanzania over the weekend in round three of the qualifying series but their withdrawal now makes the group complicated.
In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and General Secretary of the Tanzania Football Federation copied, the Chadian Football Association cited financial constraints as the reason for their decision to withdraw from the return leg against the Tanzanians in Dar es Salaam tomorrow, March 26.

As part of our participation in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2017 and particularly the return leg against Tanzania, we bring to your kind knowledge that our national team (SAO) will not perform in Dar es Salaam in game No. 91 planned for March 28, 2016.
