Aaron Samuel is still doubtful for the return leg Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt on Tuesday in Alexandria.
The on loan CSKA Moscow of Russia forward was not listed for the first leg when the Super Eagles hosted the Pharaohs in Kaduna on Friday due to a slight knock and despite training with the team, fcnaija understands there are still concerns regarding his readiness for the game.
The 21-year old was recalled to the Super Eagles by interim coach Samson Siasia after being continually snubbed by former coach Sunday Oliseh and while he was expected to feature in the first leg against the Pharaohs he suffered an injury which ruled him out of the game.
The Eagles travel to Alexandria on Monday aboard a chartered flight for the return leg on Tuesday and while the coaches are hopeful he will be fit enough to play, it remains unclear if that would be the case.
The Pharaohs scored a late equalizer to draw 1-1 with the Super Eagles in the first leg and the Nigerians must get a draw at worst to still keep their hopes of making the next Africa Cup of Nations.
