Victor Moses shone in training for the Super Eagles on Wednesday evening as they prepared for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
The 25-year old had looked unfit in the team’s first training sessions on Tuesday morning and evening, but was the star on Wednesday evening as they fine-tuned preparations for the back-to-back games with the first leg coming up on Friday.
Moses is only returning to the team after a while out due to injuries and personal reasons but was recalled by Siasia for the important games against the Pharaohs.
On Wednesday evening, during a game of 2-sides, the West Ham attacker started on the side of the possible and his mazy and clever runs was a constant threat to the defence of the probables led by Efe Ambrose and Godfrey Oboabona.
Given his recent impressive form in training, he may now force his way into the starting 11 of the Super Eagles when they face the Pharaohs on Friday, even though current indications suggest he will be starting from the bench.
Even though he was only training fully with the team for the first time, Alex Iwobi was another who shone during Wednesday evening’s session.
The Arsenal youngster showed why he is highly-rated at the Emirates as he played several clever passes to set up his teammates in front of goal.
They team will have their final training session before the game on Thursday afternoon.
