Nigerian champions Enyimba have arrived Uganda, ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Ugandan champions, Vipers.
The seven-time Nigerian champions left the country on Tuesday en-route Kampala via Addis Ababa and touched down at the Entebbe International Airport around midnight Ugandan time, and were received at the airport by Vipers officials.
They then travelled to Wakiso, where their opponents are based, about 20 kilometers northwest of the capital city, Kampala.
The game will hold at the 5,000 capacity Buikwe Stadium at 4pm on Friday, with Enyimba having the mandatory feel of the turf on Thursday afternoon.
The return leg will be played at the Adokiye Amesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in a fortnight following ongoing renovation works currently going on at their home ground, the Aba Township Stadium.
Meanwhile, the People’s Elephants travelled for the game without their leading scorer from two seasons ago, Mfon Udoh, who is understood to have suffered an injury during their preparations for the game.
