David De Gea’s proposed contract with Real Madrid has been revealed as the player went close to joining the Spanish giants on the last day of the last summer transfer window.
The 25-year old was on the verge of signing with the 10-time European champions on the final of business during the last summer transfer window but the deal collapsed in the last minutes of the transfer deadline, but his proposed contract with the club has been leaked online.
De Gea would have been pocketing around £175,000 a week, including bonuses until the summer of 2021.
He also would have received a signing-on fee of €10.9m (£8.44m), which would have been paid last month. He would have earned £66m in total for the duration of the contract.
The leaked documents also showed Real Madrid had already applied to have him registered for the league squad for the season.
