Gary Neville was booed off by the Valencia fans after he suffered another defeat at home to Sporting Gijon in La Liga on Sunday.
The former Manchester United is under intense pressure at the Mestella as he is winless in eight La Liga games and has lost four of those.
Valencia started the game brightly and dominated for long periods and should have probably won, but former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo wasted two glorious opportunities as Gijon climbed out of the relegation zone, rising to 16th with the win.
The loss means Neville has taken just five points from a possible 24 since taking over last December.
The Valencia fans started whistling the team and their manager as early as the 39th minute when Sofiane Feghouli cleverly let a forward pass from Antonio Barragan run to Negredo who was in the clear with only the advancing Cuellar but he took three touches and what seemed like an age to get his shot away and the keeper saved.
Gijon were no better, but were lucky when Danilo tripped Jony in the area and the referee pointed to the spot, even though replays showed it was a harsh call, but Gijon wasted no time as they converted to pile more pressure on Neville.
At the end of the game, the fans booed and whistled their team as they slumped to a lowly 12th on the table and 19 points away from fourth position where they finished last season, with 16 games left.
