Saido Berahino’s nightmare at West Bromwich Albion is set to continue as club chairman, Jeremy Peace is set to reject any offers for the striker this January.
Tottenham Hotspur have tabled yet another bid for the 22-year old after seeing four bids for the striker rejected last summer, but it is understood Peace would not be listening to any offers for the player now, but would be open to offers in the summer.
The striker has not hidden his desire to quit the Hawthorns, as he handed in a transfer request when it became apparent West Brom would not listen to offers for him last summer and when he failed to force his way out, he even threatened never to play for the club again.
Spurs, meanwhile, who offered £25m plus add-ons in August for the player, are understood to be unwilling to go beyond the £25m mark and could decide to wait for the summer instead.
As a result of the striker being unsettled and his subsequent loss of form, he has failed to start a game for West Brom since October as manager Tony Pulis decided to feature other players instead.
