Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has stated that they are yet to full acclimatize to the Rwandan weather barely 24 hours to the opening game of the CHAN 2016 tournament against Niger Republic.
Speaking in an interview with npfl.ng, Oliseh however posited that his team is better now than they were before they travelled to their training camp in South Africa.
“We can’t fully acclimatize in one day or two, but I’m positive we are better than we were before we went to South Africa and I think it is good for us,” said Oliseh.
“When we got to Pretoria the players were breathing heavily because of the weather but after a few days they got better. They will also get well with the weather soon,” he added.
The Super Eagles will play Niger Republic at the Stade Regional Nyammirambo on Monday by 5pm Nigerian time.
They finished third in their maiden appearance in the competition in 2014 in South Africa.
