The Super Eagles of Nigeria will travel to the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with 22 players from their South Africa training camp, 366football.com understands.
The team has been training in Pretoria, South Africa since January 2, but has been depleted, following the absence of defender Samson Gbadebo, who has failed to secure an entry visa into South Africa.
As a result, only 22 of the 23 listed players have taken part in the training camp of South Africa, and sources have now informed fcnaija.com that Gbadebo would no longer be joining the team in South Africa.
They play a second tune-up game against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, before leaving for Rwanda, ahead of their group opener against Niger Republic on January 18, with Gbadebo now expected to join the team in Rwanda.
The Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw in their first tune-up game against the Palancas Negras of Angola.
