The Kenya national team will leave Addis Ababa for Nairobi at 1am on Thursday 3 December after their elimination from the CECAFA Senior Challenge at the quarter final stage at the hands of Rwanda on Tuesday.
The team was initially scheduled to leave Addis Ababa at 5pm local time but failed to secure a flight and got the next available one as revealed by team manager Willis Waliaula.
As they head home the team and its management has a myriad of concerns to handle following the exit from the tournament with head coach Bobby Williamson’s job on the line.
The coach is blamed for abetting indiscipline in the team’s camp after reports leaked out that a number of players went on a drinking spree following the loss to Zanzibar.
The team will touch down in Nairobi at 3am and is expected to break camp upon arrival.
