Ameobi who signed a short-term contract at the end of October and has made four appearances so far, scoring one goal hasn’t recieved his pay for the month of November according to an official statement released by their recent adviser Trevor Birch.
Birch however said it was due to the ongoing situation surrounding the club’s ownership off the field.
Bolton Wanderers are a massive £172.9m in debt and Birch has been appointed to ease a takeover, from owner Eddie Davies.
Davies is reported to be willing to take responsibility for the entire debt, in the hope it will help a new owner to come in as soon as possible.
Trevor said: “This is due to a short-term funding issue. We are working hard behind the scenes and hope to have this resolved in a quick and timely manner,” he was quoted on the Mag.
“We are working hard behind the scenes and hope to have this resolved in a quick and timely manner and I will be meeting the players tomorrow (on Tuesday) to update them.”
