The coming Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections will see a total of 1171 candidates vie for the available 842 seats from the sub branch to the branch and national level.
This is after the FKF elections board sent out the cleared candidates for the polls to be conducted on 3rd December for the Sub Branch, on 7th December for the Branch and on the 14th for the National.
Six candidates are set to contest for the national chairman’s seat and a similar number for the vice chairman’s seat.
27 candidates will be vying for the eight seats available at the National Executive Committee (NEC) level for the eight regions – Nairobi, Coast, Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, North Eastern, Central and Eastern.
257 candidates received clearance to vie for the 160 available positions at the branch level as 857 were cleared to vie for the 672 seats at the sub branches’ level.
The board also released the polling centers for the elections.
